A Ruthian Accomplishment! From 1923-2008 “The House that Ruth Built” hosted a whopping 6,742 games. Several of the greatest feats in baseball history (Maris' 60th home run, Gehrig’s “Luckiest Man”, “Mr. October,” numerous World Series contests) took place in The Bronx. Every box score is covered throughout this incredible 2008 Upper Deck Yankee Stadium Legacy complete set of (6,742) cards. Pinstriped legends such as Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio and Jeter are abundantly covered throughout this largest insert set of all-time. Due to the size/scope of this enterprise, only a handful of collectors even attempted piecing together this behemoth that was inserted throughout 11 products of Upper Deck’s 2008-2009 baseball line. The first 5 collectors to complete a set were awarded an all-expense paid trip to the “new” Yankee Stadium and then given an opportunity to meet Derek Jeter. While our consignor fell just outside of that prize level, it is certain that only a handful of complete sets were constructed. The offered gathering is individually sleeved and presents high-grade. An amazing opportunity for Yankee die-hards with absolutely incredible break value!
