On 9/20/64, the Philadelphia Phillies seemingly had the NL Pennant locked up, with a 6-1/2 game lead, and 12 to play. In one of the worst swoons ever, the Phils went into the infamous "Phold", a disastrous 10-game losing streak. At the same time, the St. Louis Cardinals ran off an eight-game winning streak, and with another win in the last game of the season, they punched their ticket to the World Series, where they beat the NY Yankees.
Toast the "Redbirds" win, with this group of (5) 1964 Cardinals commemorative beer glasses. These vintage drinking vessels are decorated with facsimile player autographs, the Cardinals logo, the date "1964", and the legend "World Champion", and all present in (NM) condition.
